I've still got some things To Do

Lists and schedules stay in this browser. This page is the path from a task to a timetable you fill in yourself.

01

Before you begin

You do not need an account. What you write stays in this browser, on this device. Before you clear the site data, export the lists and the schedules from Import / Export.

02

Two kinds of classes

Add Class, at the bottom of the left bar, asks which kind you want.

  1. Task listDeadlines, priority, and a checkbox.
  2. ScheduleActivities placed on days and hours.
  3. The list itselfA click opens the class. A double-click renames it. Drag it to change the order. The × removes it, and asks first if it still has tasks or activities.
  4. Under the listRestore puts back classes you just removed. Clear unused removes classes that have nothing in them. Main stays.
03

Tasks

A task list is a column of rows. You write in the row.

  1. AddAdd new task, or the + key.
  2. FinishThe checkbox marks it done and moves it down the list.
  3. ImportantAn important task stays above the others.
  4. FilterThe tabs along the top show everything, what is in progress, what is done, or only what is important.
  5. DeleteThe × on a row asks before it deletes that task. The eraser clears only the words. Clear empties the current list, and can be undone. The − key removes the last empty row. While Edit is open, Clear becomes Delete all.
  6. Move a rowThe grip on the left drags a task up or down. The row grows as you add lines.
  7. Smaller stepsIf a task has subtasks, a chevron opens them. The main checkbox stays off until those steps are done.
  8. The details windowThe arrow at the left of a row opens a window: status, when it was created, the deadline, the place, the notes, and the links.
04

Details on a task

Edit opens the panel on the right. Click a task while the panel is open. That task is the one you edit. Add new task sits at the top of the panel.

  1. TimeA deadline can be one moment or a from–to range, for the hour and for the date. Today, Tomorrow, and Current hour fill the fields. Show countdown puts the time left on the task.
  2. PlaceSearch for a place, give it your own label, or use My location. A map opens under the search. Clear removes the place.
  3. NotesAdditions holds a longer note, smaller steps, and links. A link has a name and a URL.
  4. LabelsYou can assign a class, type an ID for it, and add tags. A tag is saved with Enter.
  5. Wipe the detailsClear all the information removes the deadline, the place, the labels, the notes, the steps, and the links. The words of the task stay.

Esc closes the panel.

A schedule

A new schedule class waits in the middle of the screen, with Create schedule.

  1. NameName it the way you will look for it. Source is optional: the link of the original timetable. Week 1 starts on the Monday of the date you pick. Leave that date empty and counting follows the academic year.
  2. LayoutWeek list, work week, calendar, or a single-day agenda. Week list and work week are an hour grid.
  3. PreviewThe grid under the layout is already the schedule. Click an empty hour, or an activity that is already there.
  4. The activityIn the window you set the days it repeats, the start, and the end. End may stay empty. Start has to be earlier than end. Which weeks can be every week, odd weeks, even weeks, once on a date, or a span of weeks. Lasts, in weeks, can stay empty: that means no limit. Then the activity name, the place, and a short note.
  5. Field and typePick a field: university, school, home, homework, daily routine, work, or an online event. The types follow the field. You can add your own field or type. An online event also asks for a link name and a link.
  6. SaveSave activity puts it on the grid. Save, at the top of the preview, keeps the schedule and leaves the setup.
  7. Three ways to lookOptimised is the usual one, and it shows only what still happens today. Quick lists the week, and a day that already passed is written as the next real date. Full is the grid. In Quick and Full, the arrows next to the week number move you to another week.
  8. The countdownGreen means there is still time. Yellow is the last hour before it starts, and you get one notice: get ready. Red is the last stretch: one notice at 10 minutes, and one at 1 minute. Each notice plays a short, quiet sound, if notifications are on. The page needs one click before the browser allows the sound. While the event is on, the clock says In process. After it ends, a repeating event counts down to the next day. An event set once says Done and stays that way. If To is empty, it stays In process for 24 hours, then Done.
  9. A link and your tasksAn online event can carry a link name and a link. The card says “You have to access:” and the button sits under that line. You can also attach tasks from a to-do class. The card shows how many are still open, and the class name opens that list. Those tasks wear a small purple dot on the right, pulsing slowly. When every attached task is done, the card says “All done, you have no tasks left”.
  10. Colors on screenThe legend lists only the colors of the events you are looking at. Open another week and the legend follows that week. Delete an event, and its color leaves if nothing else on screen still uses it. On a card, the pencil changes the event. The × asks before it deletes it.
  11. Change it laterEdit on a saved schedule opens the same setup. Done keeps it. Add an event works without opening Edit. Clear all asks before it removes every activity, and it works only while you are editing.
  12. Schedule filesImport / Export on a schedule reads and writes Excel, CSV, JSON, iCalendar, Word, Markdown, and TXT.

On the week grid, a two-hour activity covers two rows. Odd weeks sit above the dashed line. Even weeks sit below it.

Your data

There is no account and no cloud copy. Import / Export is how a list or a schedule leaves this browser. For tasks, the JSON file is a list of objects, and text is required. Export settings, in Settings, saves only the choices. It does not save the tasks or the schedules.
